  Great food! Great service! We decided to drive to Woodstock and enjoy Magnolia for dinner. Everything was fantastic. Coffee encrusted steak, stuffed Cajun Catfish were prepared perfectly (include salad $23) and deserved a preparation picture upon delivery to our table.
  Nice white table cloth quieter dining which makes the experience a bit more classy. Easy private parking on site.
  Note: beer and wine only, eat in or out under beautiful oak trees.

  I admit I havent eaten at their restaurant. Im writing this on behalf of the poor employee, mentioned in the previous review, who had to deal with Mitchel. The restaurants catered food was actually quite good that night. Rare for a buffet. It also looked real cute when we drove past.
  I was invited to this event by my sister-in-law. She is a member at Strongside gym. Mitchel always seemed like a good guy. High energy. But his recount of this evening was not quite ours. Its true. It was an embarrassment. Embarrassing because of how this group acted. I dont know the details of his contract, but I do know that all I wanted to do was apologize. The event was at the Woodstock Community Center. A really nice place. You could tell the City employee staff member didnt know what to do or how to handle this group. She told us upon arrival that the group was already exceeding the size told to her by Mitchel. Which is odd because Mitchel made my sister and his guests pay $50 per person for their own appreciation party! Odd. Yes. How are you suppose to have enough chairs OR food if you bring 45 more people to an event. It seemed like Mitchel was taking advantage of not just the restaurant. Anyway, they brought up more tables and chairs and we were seated. Again, really good food which I guess makes this an honest review. (However one note: Dont put the butter pats so close to the chafer, they were melty).
  The evening went downhill after we finished our meal. You could see the REAL obvious distress on the City staff faces once they began playing a drinking game that entailed beating pvc pipes on their beautiful wood dance floor. I stopped playing. It was obviously putting dents in their floor. And it felt childish. He mentioned no one getting "out-of-hand". Maybe that didnt include throwing beer bottles off the deck. Or vomitting in the ash receptacle. It felt super out of hand. But after closing down the bar, the guests were jumping over the bar and stealing their beer and wine. Yes his guests were stealing the beverages after it was obvious the entire party was over-served. All night the staff tried to keep up. It was like a college frat party-the one you dont want to go to-but I thought the staff did the best they could. It was the City of Woodstock staff member who was the real angel. She tried her best. As did the caterers. Mitchel. You may be acting indignant. But sometimes its a you thing. Not always everyone else. But you are right: "no one wanted to be there"
  PS Why do you rate your own business 5 stars? Inst that sort of a conflict? It is a good gym though. But Mitchell is a handful.
